Mondo TV S.p.A: Puppy in My Pocket

In Pocketville there's a beautiful kitty princess named Ava who matches new friends, children and pets. One day, by the doing of her envious twin sister Eva, she is accidentally sent to the 'real world' while our protagonist, Kate, is sent to Pocketville in her place. In princess Ava's absence, Kate, together with her recently matched pet friend Magic, make sure that Ava's duties of matching children and pets continue while Eva tries everything she can to stop them so that she can become the new princess! @thespookyjungle2 On my TV they play the Dutch version, and in there she is also called Flo. I don't really know why, I always thought it was changed because Kate isn't a Dutch name, but that doesn't seem to be the reason since it's Flo in here too.

I love this show it plays on my TV, but I never saw the beginning. Isn't Magic, the German Shepherd, supposed to be her puppy? Why does she get a Dalmatian? Did something happen with it? Also, this looks slightly different then now, probably because it's the first episode.
