Bob Dylan made Rock 'n' Roll history when he plugged in an electric guitar at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Now a New Jersey woman thinks she may have that very guitar in her attic. The HISTORY DETECTIVES think so too! See the investigation unfold Tuesday, July 17th at 9/8c.

It was his first non-acoustic set...

they did ask bobs staff and they said he still has that guitar but that 3 other guitars were stolen at that same time frame so it seams that this guitar may be one of the stolen ones but no one has said this yet, well no one butt me that is

I don't think she or her father is a guitar stealer. They tried to give it back. The documentation was there. I think it should be given to a museum. Don't put labels on ppl. That's exactly what bob Dylans music's teaches us not to do.

Hello,I am Neal Gallop from Neal's Guitars.We're not sure why the Rock & Roll historian did not correct you when you said it was from 2nd of May '64 B.That 2 is not the date it is in fact the Fender neck "style" number.But ,otherwise,the date is May'64.Also, why he didn't date the pots.Excellent story though.I am a believer.

Dang! I was watching that show but got distracted when they said if it WAS the guitar or not. At least they will repeat the episode many times so I can catch it later.
