@iaian7 The Tectonic Plates move as fast as your finger nails move, scientists can measure them.

@iaian7 I guess I just ask because of the Ark. I found this clip after seeing a guy who was trying to illustrate what the flood may have looked like. And then I found your video. But it seems that segment was truncated from what I saw in his video. I was wondering if that is what you were going for or just playin around. Cuz if that is at all what it was like in light of the event in Japan, I dont think an ark, of any construction would have been able to withstand what seemed to be 100 foot wave

The programs I have been using are more or less the same (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) I have been learning 3DsMax for Modeling and animation. I like the rendering and shading that it can provide. I have also been trying to teach myself to use Z-brush as well. It certainly is an interesting field to get into! I really enjoy looking at other peoples work and finding inspiration. I will certainly keep an eye on your channel

This is wonderful. I write a blog, thetruthblog.blogspot.com, and this is exactly what I picture when I think of these events. God bless!

@litrehead It's Earth, but depicting the landmass Rodinia - the theoretical precursor to Pangea, in a long line of theoretical geological formations that Earth may have gone through during cataclysmic reformations. I worked with Geophysicists on that project, and followed the designs they had drawn up.

This is very nice work. I am learning digital animation right now, and hope to be at this caliber some day soon. May I ask you what programs you used to create and composite this?

@athraxious Thanks man!
Image and vector editing - Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator (pretty standard)
Modeling/shading/lighting/animation/render - Newtek Lightwave (not great for character animation, but I love the nodal shading system and it's a great renderer)
Compositing - Adobe After Effects (I've played with Apple Shake as well, but development was abandoned)
Editing - Apple Final Cut Studio (or Final Cut Express on my laptop)
