I'm far more concerned with the open sexuality and filth that is constantly displayed on magazines and on tv commercials and even in movies geared toward children than I am about gay marriage.That's something that is in their own privacy.... wouldn't it be nice if all the other garbage that most people seem to accept as just being part of this fucked up world were ALSO private?People say-just don't watch it-but honesty-I'd have to live in a hole for that. People need to get their priorities straight and try to let people live their own private lives and worry more about what is actually in their face and affecting their own peace to live how they want. I don't believe that religion should play a part in a lot of things that people allow it to. I don't know what it's anyone's business if gays are married. They are people too and why should they not be allowed to be with whoever they love. If people really lived by what they claim to believe - they would leave it up to God to judge what they feel is wrong when it otherwise doesn't affect them personally. it would be interesting to see a world without religious identity. what would the Israelis be fighting for, what would Muslim terrorists be fighting for? Who would really give a fuck about gays being married or women aborting fetuses? I imagine it would be at least slightly more peaceful. Then maybe we could focus our efforts on overcoming economic and political struggles, instead of wasting time and human resource fighting for an idea that has no evidence of being correct.

I like the first paragraph of your comment....

however, the last part (maybe it's specific to how Carlin is?) I felt was out of line. Not all Christians like Romney... I think he's a big empty headed moron and will be voting for Obama hands down. Christianity imo has nothing to do with how to vote... but who is best for running this country. Romney will make things worse. Obama needs more time with the mess he walked into - and this Christian will vote to give it to him!

Ok, I'm a huge TYT fan and don't support Romney at all, but this "story" is BS in my opinion. He was CLEARLY joking, and wasn't trying to pretend like he was actually unemployed or in the same position as those people. Taking this out of context is just as bad as when the Republicans took "you didn't build that" completely out of context. You can say you don't think the joke was funny, but who cares.
