video of simulated flow-velocity vectors over the NACA 23015 airfoil as it pulls up out of a shallow dive (-8° angle of attack) into a stall (+22°) at a typical F4U operating speed, 186 mph. Regions of higher velocity are represented by warmer colors; the blue area near the trailing edge on the right (starting about halfway through the 11-second video) is the flow separation that contributes to stall.
