Outside of Rhode Island, there were very few Jews in New England before 1900. There were Jews in Rhode Island, but the Quakers dominated the industries there. Thomas Perkins and George Cabot, the two major Boston slave traders, were Unitarian.

I converted to Christianity from Judaism, though my ancestors weren't in the country then.

well where iam from (new england) jews were verywell submersed inthe slave trade,where they took african slaves to the west indies and exchanged them for molasses.the molasses was then taken to places like newport ri and made into rum@ jewish owned distilleries.the rum which was cheaply manufactured was then traded to indians for valuable furs and pelts.they also traded (toindians) cheapbeadsandsuchfromthe dutchwest indies company thatswhy newyork was once newamsterdam nowrefered to as jewyork

That's not true in this country(maybe worldwide, but not in this country.)  Most slave traders were Unitarian.
