  • hiya. i, too, am really, really bored of winding coils.

    Some questions :

    1. How does the carriage know when to move along ?

    2. Does the carriage automatically change direction when doing multi-layered coils, if so, how ?

    3. What, if anything, do you ahve to do manually to operate the winder ?

    Cheers.

  • ok, on the carriage their is two contact leaver switches and the copper wire runs between them...

when the wire moves to one side it activates that switch which puts power to the motor and moves the carriage... the two switches ether side control direction...

with mine, the only thing manual is the tensioning. Although occasionally it does screw up...

  • Just trying to show off and waste your time really aren't you?

I will keep winding by hand ty

  • lol... thats not showing off... ;)

  • What is the make and model number of the counter board? I am in the USA and would like to build a winder of my own and that board looks interesting.

    Karl

  • Bipolar? Twin pole? Mine fail with cutting the current flow from 1A down to 500mA, too fancy of me, let's look.

  • lol
