I directed this - the world's first Parkour documentary feature - in 2003 for Channel 4 in the UK. It was produced by my amazing business partner Mike Smith. It's been a huge success - as you can tell from the number of Jump style clips on this very website! It's also been responsible for influencing Madonna, James Bond and Anthony Minghella. This is one of my favourite sequences - HMS Belfast and Redjacket, one of the locations Minghella lifted for his excellent movie Breaking and Entering.

  • hello mike. XD. i still haven´t seen "jump london". here´s my question, though: have you come across girls practicing free running ? that´s kind of a lame question [XB] but i want to know what are your/their thoughts about this subject [gender/free running/parkour]. thank u.

  • Yes, I have seen many females doing this (and worked with some). Parkour is for everyone!

  • Will these guys still have knees when they're 35...? Can't be good on your knees, but it's a really cool urban sport...

  • It remains to be seen! They're pretty good at rolling out to absorb the hit, but some are better than others at this for sure...

  • You, Sir, have given purpose to my life, and many thousands of others'. I thank you wholeheartedly. Never stop directing.

  • That's very kind of you. Thank you.

  • far as I'm concerned, that first jump off the top of the HMS Belfast defines "epic".

looks like about 6 or 7 metres.

    truly amazing

  • What ages do you generally work with?

  • LDN <3
