Flooding like this is very rare. I have lived in Issaquah for the past 30 years and have only seen the creek flood over onto the road like this twice. The first time we were a small town, most everyone lived up on the hill anyway. the second time, it wasn't the creek that flooded down town it was the county's overflow retention ponds that hadn't been dredged in years. they over flowed and so the extra water had no where else to go. Great footage of the flooding though.
