is possible to turn the built-in flash off but not the speedlight ?!
-
just a quick question for anyone, I'm not sure that the D3100 can be used as a commander... is that right?
-
@ImageGuyMikey : Now the 2 guns are the same price hence the SB900 over heats in certain modes.

That double beep means you got a proper exposure.

It is 'Neeeeeeekon' dude!

Hi there Tyler, You might have figured this out by now ;-) But i'm giving a reply anyway haha.
The D60 doesn't have the Commander Mode for the Built-in flash. But you could use the Nikon SC-28 off camera flash sync cord to work with off camera flash set-ups.

there are a few differences but one of the biggest is its ease of use. ive done a couple of videos comparing the two that might interest you

Hello ! ... quick question ...
When in ''commander'' mode, with pop-up flash open ... using a SB-600 as ''slave'' ..... wil and/or can the SB-600 (when it goes off), cause a separate strobe light on a stand to go off as well ? ..... because of the photocell on the strobe recieving the light ?
I hope my question is clear enough ?? :S
Thanks !!!

@AztecBodyart The simple answer is yes. It should.
Make sure you test it first.

Thanks. SB-800 should be getting cheaper now that the SB-900 is out... Hopefully!
