@junejoyleng - and also they don't show Pip's affection for his benefactor grow away from just shame. Also he is too young and strong seeming. The book makes you think he was somehow not as well and young when he comes back to Pip.

@junejoyleng - I know like when Miss Havisham cries and Pip connects with her and when Pip wants to marry the other lady in his home village...just doesn't quite have the right feel...
