A review between two comparable helmet cameras, the Oregon Scientific ATC3K and the Tachyon XC. I review all aspects of these cameras.
Helmet cams are great for action sports, such as bike, motorcycle, diving, snorkeling, snowboarding, motocross,skateboarding, surfing, paintball, RC, etc. They can also be used for hidden camera action.

Wish I would have known about this video before I bought my ATC3K. If I had I would have gone with the Tachyon XC.

Also google helmet camera and you get the full range. Some racing friends lover the HERO camera. Also if you have a Hard Drive full size camera, lots of mounts for those. Just switch the record to the memory card and it will not auto protect shutdown.

Thanks alot. I was close to buying a 3K Saw this vid, mostly the same things I was looking for, Shockproof, Waterproof, Freeze proof. but for the same price, the Sound & Picture quality is AMAZING!! appears to be an all around better camera than the 3K. The only drawback I see is it doesnt come with the massive variety of mounts

The act 5k does but i think it might be the same as the 3k just with the lcd screen.

Is there any improvements in the ATC 5k? It has a LCD screen but not sure if that will make me get it over the xc

The XC does not have a viewer to see what you are recording in real-time.
