is it ok if i wash it with paint thienner and then wash it with water soap and desengrasant and leave it sun dry???

Hey what do you do when it says not to use gas to clean your air filter and you just did? I didnt ride it but i need to know if i should just buy a new air filter? my bike is a 2004 crf250r

what it usually does is breaks down the glue between the filter and the foam/rubber sealing ring. If the sealing ring even seems like it's starting to seperate from the filter, replace it. It might be okay if you did it only once.

when you put the oil on the filter, do you put it on the inside of the filter too?

nope, if you watch carefully he massages the oil through untill you can see it on the inside.
