Part 1: http://www.tf2tactics.com/entry.php?23-Understanding-Cart-Cap-Point-Speed

As I read the reactions from various websites about "Understanding Cart / Cap Point Speed", more questions became apparent:

- Does the same formula apply to all maps?
- Is there a limit on other maps?
- Is there a limit on Scouts on other maps?
- Does the speed of 1 Scout equal 2 engineers?

To answer those questions, I tested on gravelpit this time. And now I have a better time difference than in dustbowl which took about 1.5 seconds to cap with 8 people.

The results are relatively the same. One big question I had was that why does 1 scout equals to +50% over the regular speed of cap. Since 1 scout equals 2 shouldn't it be +100% or double? The answer to that is the speed of (2 people) is +50%. The speed of (2 people) is not +100% or double, but +50%.

So yes the speed is not double the (amount of time) of a regular cap, per se, but instead calculated as double the (number of people). Hope that clarifies that

But whatever! thinking about it gives me a headache! haha!

  • You have extreme talent in video editing. Good job.

  • Very nice video! You should try doing Granary and using 12 scouts.

  • Hey I know this video is almost a year old,but i was thinking about going BEYOND capping a point. What if we put 20 scouts on point b of gravelpit?I'm gonna do a test by myself, but it might take long.

  • I do recall one time that at cp_steel we did a scout rush and that at 16 caps or so I had to step OFF the point because it STOPPED capping whenever there were too many scouts D:

  • @christianmalazarte hello, i guess the next part will be about pain train?

  • how to you do those intros and such? what program u use?

  • Pretty much exactly 40 seconds to cap gpit B as a scout... I'll remember that. Cool test.

  • I want 1~16 scouts ver

  • I dunno if anybody responded to your first video on cap time, but you can change the limit of people for the speed in payload maps. Official Valve maps have it set at 3, but you can actually have it set to 1, or 4, etc.
