Shame on him for transposing down the epic "MINE" in the second verse. He just probably doesn't have the range for the song and it sounds much less emotional in a lower pitch. Just my opinion.

Why so critical ? it's the feeling and the Moment...Someone that you love could be singing this song to you rite know and it would still be perfect no matter what they sounded like.This song has such an incredible range that hardly anyone-set aside a few greats- can sing it that well..He no doubt picked it because of his love for the song.

@cheezkid live maybe, but you have to keep in mind that hearing him on the tube singing live and actually being there when he's singing live are 2 incredibly different scenarios. I didn't believe it until my cousin dragged me to their show I was wowed. And this was last year when Bono was clearly aged above 50. I cannot imagine his stage power during the 90's! The "faggotry" you speak of may be true with his showmanship- he's no easy celeb to like- but u2 is a concert band and they own the stage
