Bringing Pakistanis Together in America

OPEN is the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America, an organization that aims to bring together Pakistani-Americans working in the business and professional fields. Recently, OPEN's Washington DC chapter held its annual conference. Both OPEN members and non-members at the conference said that the organization provides a forum for Pakistani-Americans to network and further themselves in the professional world with the help of their community. Although OPEN is not yet a large national organization, its members said they hope that it and other such organizations will grow in the future, and, eventually, allow Pakistani-Americans to develop a constituency in the American body politic.
