The Process of Printmaking reveals some of the steps taken in order to create an intaglio etching. The artist Annamarie Trombetta has made a drawing of the Chinese Scholar's Garden located in Staten Island, New York. She has used the drawing as an inspiration to create the image in printmaking. The edition of printmaking are greater than one drawing, hence the reason for making prints.
The viewer is able to see in this video the many processes the artist goes through to create one print. This project was made possible in part by a grant from the Council of Arts & Humanities for Staten Island New York and also the New York Cultural Affairs. Special thanks to printmaker and artist Bill Behnken for his support, encouragement and filming.
