These cars have been around for years in Australia and New Zealand as the Holden Statesman & Caprice. The short wheelbase version known here as the VE Commodore (Pontiac G8) has been running Police duty for many years and has turned out to be very robust and reliable...I have no doubt this new Caprice will perform well as a PPV in America

i talked with a cop in Red Wing, MN(were i live) after my car was vandalized, he told me the Red Wing PD is thinking of getting a bunch of Caprices, they have all ready got 2 of the last Crown Vics(thats all Red Wing has at this time)

The holdens (chevy) are good police vehicles in Australia, but I know it to be fact that the police have preference with the ford XR6 Turbo, being a straight six with a turbo. Its funny how people say the caprice can't catch a supercar, true, but who in their right mind would allow a pursuit over 250km/hr. Its to dangerous for everyone!!
