Diet Drugs approved prior to 1985, such as phentermine, were approved for use up to 3 months on the basis that obesity was caused by bad habits, and that bad habits could be changed in 3 months.

  • Iam addicted to this shit!! I have been on it for ever....I dont loose from it anymore...I just feel shitty with out it :( so buyer's beware....It is addicting! because it works with the brain I get depressed with out it...not good!

  • Ms Kit,

I would use the term habituating rather than addicting.

Phentermine, just like coffee, can be habituating because the body reduces the number of adrenaline receptors so as to not be overstimulated.

    This is called down-regulation.

If you drink coffee regularly and then stop, you are likely to feel tired, depressed, exhausted, have headaches and flu-like symptoms for a week or so until the body produces more receptors. Caffeine withdrawal.

The same is true for phentermine.

  • Where can I get a doctor to give me a perscription for phentermine as I cant find one who will? i bought fastin on the internet and it was some crappy co. that bought the name and sold some other crap in disguise that didnt work.

  • Veg,

If you live in the US, you can find a doctor who uses phentermine by going to the website for the American Bariatric Society and click on "Locate a Physician" at the top.

    asbp (dot) org/locate_physician (dot) php

    ------

    Fastin is no longer phentermine.

A nutritional company bought the name and it is now a nutritional product, not phentermine.

They did this to try and fool people into buying their product.
