From the 1976 album Brazilian Dorian Dream. This recording never made it to CD. Manfredo Fest - Keyboards; Roberta Davis - Vocals; Thomas Kini - Bass; Alejo Poveda - Drums and Percussion.
@RizRa: this track is updated on his dmp Records album "Braziliana," which opens with this track. It is a more acoustic recording than this one (all piano as opposed to what he's playing here). That could be the one you heard.
I'm with the drummer now! If you listen at 2mins 48 secs you can hear he breaks a stick!!!!!! The legend that is Alejo Poveda........Dah Dah dah, Dah dah dah, Dah Dah Dah
I saw him at the Green Mill in Chicago in 1990, which was great. I also know the drummer on this album, who's still playing in Chicago and is a great guy. (end namedrop) Thanks for posting!
I was fortunate enough to be living in St. Paul, MN when Manfredo was there. I took several lessons from him, and saw him perform countless times. He was an unbelievable musician, and such a nice man, too.
are there a few versions of this? i have this track but its more acoustic and a quicker tempo... my bro downloaded it for me so i don't know where from...
