  • Exhaust leak at the bottom?

  • In it's current guise it will not work - put simply there is no way to retain the apex seals in this design as the tips of the rotor do not maintain constant contact with the house like what a traditional Wankel does

  • Seems to me that the compression chambers open and close a few times. Why compress the same bit of air 3 times before it hits the fuel injector and combustion? Also, that rotor is doing a lot of spinning for not much rotation of the output shaft. I would imagine there would be a ton of wasted energy in that huge rotor motion.

  • @DragonFlyback256 yes, and this geometry is not conducive to power production

  • @rotor13 6) the close proximity of the intake and exhaust ports is bad because of the inherent intake air pollution from using side exit exhaust ports, as well as overheating the intake charge which can promote detonation and any unburned fuel will easily pollute the air as well causing an overly rich condition.

    and this is off the top of my head

    you need to use the laws of common sense in combustion engine sciences and theories in performance to have an effective orbital combustion engine

  • @rotor13 5)the positioning of the injector is too close to the spark plug. this position does not promote adequate atomization of the fuel, even if it was direct injected. the angle is wrong because it is almost directly shooting fuel to the spark plug which is very bad because it allows the plug to foul very quickly and the engine to flood just as easily

  • @rotor13 2) the lobe is not of proper eccentricity to be able to transfer enough torque

    3) the combustion chamber is wayyy to elongated to promote ANY sort of substantial combustion, this will lead to less torque production

    4) the animation shows the shaft turning the opposite way to the natural rotation of the rotor which leads to a potentially immense friction production leading to unnecessary heat, which leads to less power

  • this design is wayy too complex.

    1) there isnt any support for the apex seals as they rely on two constantly opposing forces to have an air tight seal (spring pressure and the housing surface), the seal would inevitably fall out. and is the seal was tall enough to maintain constant contact with the housing, there would be wayy too much damage to the  housing surface from the chatter that would undoubtedly happen and the only way to combat that is sufficient lubrication.... bad for emissions

  • TOO MUCH NOISE, NEED A SILENCER
