On September 13th 1993 "Mortal Monday", Mortal Kombat was being released to home consoles across America. That evening our local news station did an expose on violence exposed to children in video games.

Here's the problem with that bottom line: It makes too much sense and it actually involves work on the parents part(setting boundaries, enforcing discipline, etc.) some parents rather not do that. It's easier to blame video games, Marilyn Manson, movies and TV shows when their kids become spree shooters or thugs.

I am finding this really funny. Because I have the Mortal Kombat game for my Super Nintendo. I remember getting it back in my early teens. And there was nothing at all violent about the game. I didn't think that back then. And I still don't think that now.
