Alternative Miss Brighton

The Alternative Miss Brighton show has been held a total of 7 times in various different venues such as the big top tent of the Chinese State Circus, Brighton's Dome Theatre and Brighton's Theatre Royal.

A chaotic and hilarious beauty/talent show and variety show in one. Alternative Miss Brighton is a very special production that has been hosted by stars such as Rhona Cameron, Nicolas Parsons, Simon Fanshawe, Michelle Collins, Graham Norton. And who can forget Lily Savage who made her debut in front of a mixed crowd of gay/straight/young/old and so brought her to the attention of a wider audience for the first time.

With a variety of bizarre entertainment from performers like-Julian Clary, Bob Downe, Maxine Barry, Fay Presto, Hugh Jelly, Leigh Bowery, Jeremy Robbins, Cynthia Payne, Steve Rawlings, H.R.H.Regina Fong, Yvette, Dave Lynne and Gayle Tuesday (page three stunner) and of course the many and varied contestants who never cease to surprise the audience with their amazing costumes and often outrageous acts.
Each pageant crowns the most wonderful, decadent and alternative individual as 'Miss Brighton' for a full years reign!
