Why Parents Love Homeschool

My son came home from 1st gr. PS & asked me, "What's a gay wad?" because kids called each other that on the playground. Next week a girl drew him a map to her house & asked him to come over & have sex with her. These are concepts I didn't want my child to be exposed to before he was emotionally mature enough to properly understand them. PS forces parents to deal w/ adult subjects, robbing children of their innocence, & providing fodder for prurient interests. It's called socialization. No thanks

Thank you! Wonder job! I've Homeschool 3 older kids & am currently Unschooling my youngest. My older children have got their Bachelors Degrees at 18, Master's at 20, working on their PhD disseration now. Even if they amounted to nothing, I would still be very proud of them!
Employers vie to offer them jobs wherever they go. :D They are want to go into their own businesses.
What can I say, Homeschooling rocks :D I'd never have it any other way.
Thanks again for the wonderful video.

I certainly think it depends on your child. My son needs extra help with speech and reading and his school has special teachers that work with him throughout the school day. I love having my son is school, he's so much happier when he comes home from a day at school too. My daughter on the other hand could be homeschooled and do awesome. Either way they are going to learn the most from life's experiences.

@brookiebakerie My parents taught me to stand up for what i believe in. And what gives you the right to be rude to me if I'm not allowed to be rude to you? Are we not equals in this great country? I feel sorry for your kids by the way, having a parent whom, I'm sure is over bearing, and over protective. I'd like to see them thrive in a social environment. I hope you have a good day! :)

Wow... Do your parents know that you speak to your elders like that? Do they even care? I'm sorry you feel the need to be so rude. Like I said, come talk to me when you're the parent of a teenager.
BTW, I went to 3 different high schools in the DC metro area. Hardly backwards. But then again, I forgot that I'm speaking to a teenager who feels the need to be rude to total strangers. Again, I feel sorry for you. I hope you have a good day! :)

@brookiebakerie Oh, so because you used to go to some backwards ass high school, means that you have a better view of the current system then me, an actual high-school student? Oh and by the way, i was just stating my opinion, so relax douche bag.

I was public schooled (went to 13 different schools across the country - military brat) and I was NEVER offered weed, thanks! But you'd better believe I'm homeschooling my kids! You're in 10th grade? That's the problem. Come back when you're the parent of a teenager. Your tune will have changed a lot by then. :)

Furthermore: My two girls are very involved at Fermilab (they are 12 and 14). The scientists there LOVE homeschooled kids because they have the creativity, the confidence and the brains to be able to tackle theoretical physics. They tell me the public schooled kids often are told they're "not allowed" to think at a higher grade level. LOL! Who is sheltered? I think it's the kids in the government indoctrination centers (you call it public school), where they only socialize w/kids their own age.

nanlisa - was your comment a joke? You contradict yourself! How can you possibly be prepared for the world if you are sitting in a classroom all day. I'd rather my children are in the world experiencing it than reading about it in a book! If your comment was in posted in all seriousness, you don't understand homeschooling at all! (My kids think it's dehumanizing to have to ask to go to the bathroom. Where does that ever happen in the "real" world?)

You peopel are out of your mind.you think if you home school your kids thay will turn out to be better people. Me and both my brothers were home schooled and my oldest was sent to prison for 2 years and my younger brother tryed to kill him self because he didnt know how to deal with being in the REAL world. and i now work in a bar because im not educated enough to get a real job. this is what home schooling will do to kids.

We "peopel" are absolutely teaching our children to be better people. If you and your brothers had a negative experience with homeschooling, I'm very sorry. That does not mean that homeschooling in general is bad. It means that either you had parents who did a bad job of homeschooling, or they did their best and you and your brothers CHOSE to make your own bad decisions in life. This is not the fault of the homeschool community at large.
