Whats the deal with the new mixer :)

I see many more channels. As many as I want or just a whole bunch more?

Can I now route the mixer channels to the individual outs so it uses the aux sends when exporting?

Yeah you can have as many channels as you want in the new mixer. And believe me, some people have really put that to use with more channels than I can count! :) Not sure what you mean by the aux thing but you can route mixer channels to individual outs, yes. And Reason 6 also has a vastly improved export process for sending stems to people which lets you bounce the aux stems and effects separately too.

Last time i checked was reason v3. Did you upgrade the sound engine during later versions? What went in, never sounded the same audiowise. Cubase sound open and transparent for example.

Reason v3 didn't have audio input so I don't know what you mean by "what went in never sounded the same audiowise." There was no in, only out. But Reason has changed leaps and bounds since version 3 so if you're interested I could definitely recommend giving it a look. Version 3 to Version 6.5 is like a Bicycle to a Harley Davidson in many regards.

Audio input in the form of a .wav file. The original .wav file would sound like open, detailed and sparkling. Once imported in a reason, it would become less open, muffled and cheap sounding.

Harley Davidson bikes are far from perfect, should i consider reason 6.5 likewise?

I don't know what you mean, then. Like I said, v3 didn't have wav files so saying "last time I checked" doesn't apply. And I welcome you to do a simple test: Take a wav file, import to a reason audio track, don't change level or anything, just export it, Import that into your favorite other DAW, also import the source wav file to another track, flip the phase on one of the two tracks and export a new wav. The exported file will be silence. Why? Because Reason had no change to the source audio.

EH? so the NN19 & redrum did not support .wav in v3? thearchivable is obv not talking about audio lanes & you know it.

Also there is a 'high quality interpolation' or something button on the NN19 (& some other racks) if I remember correctly......why is that there/necessary - HAVE YOU UPDATED THE AUDIO ENGINE SINCE v3?

Its clear reason has moved forwards (and looks great btw) but you did not directly answer a simple question. Your replies sounded very defensive.
