@dan24b Completely devoid of any factual truth. You actually thought that I'd even waste my time trying to enter into a reasoned discussion with an ignoramus like you?
-
@dan24b Just another example of why I've come to believe that libertarian is a synonym for retard.

@Blitzfoofoo You don't know if they expose kids to other viewpoints. Teaching kids to think that you can't hold to one viepoint is a form of indoctrination, too, a very mushy form of it.
-
@Blitzfoofoo Most forms of childrearing are indoctrination into the individual family values. Do you think vegetarians tell their kids how wonderful a hamburger is? Do you think the Clintons taught Chelsea both the dem. & rep. point of view in a nonbiased way? Do you think highly academic parents present the option of having fun, taking easy classes & going to a community college as an equal choice to studying hard & going to an Ivy League school? Most invested parents indoctrinate.
-
@paisleyyama Except THIS is indoctrination, they aren't giving any other viewpoints. Kind of like my mother.

@len That can be said of parents in all lifestyles. Gay parents don`t ask their kids if they want to be raised in a gay environ., nor do Muslim, Vegan, highly atheletic, highly academic, political, etc. parents. Parents have a life philosophy they think is good & want to pass on to their kids. When kids grow up they can accept or reject that upbringing, but parents have a right to teach what they think is good & it`s really no one else`s business.

@paisleyyama It is a concern when the parents who chose this lifestyle for themselves aren't giving their children the same freedom to choose. How do I know this? See @VyckieG's comment above. The Quiverfull lifestyle is built on the subjugation of women, advocating for a return to biblical patriarchy. @kellyabobbyc, this movement often protects abusive men, and shames women. It is anything but wonderful. Don't be deceived by the 'keep sweet' public persona.
-
I think that this is wonderful, everyone seems to get along great and they all seem happy and productive, I don't see anything abusive about it; the fact that the wife is submitting to her husband and training up her girls to do the same is exactly how the bible says we should be as women, as long as her husband is not a dominating, abusive, overly controlling person, he seems to love and care for his wife and children, and honor and provide for them.
-
If everybody is in this movement the world will be screwed in no time, there already are way too many people.
-
Im sorry, but those people are creepy.
As a former Quiverfull woman who has BTDT, I can honestly say, Yes - they are crazy.
I practiced "Biblical Womanhood" for about 16 years. I found the lifestyle demanding, abusive and ultimately unsustainable. I founded a website: No Longer Quivering, where those of us who have escaped share our experiences in that oppressive lifestyle.

@TheTravelfool Has it ever occurred to you that some women like to be submissive and taken care of? How others choose to live their lives in no one`s business but their own.
