no no no, that wasnt a vindictive laugh at all from Khorkina. she was laughing because that fall is hilarious for a world class gymnast to do; you hardly ever see that from gymnasts like Elena. I thought it was hilarious. You can see that even Elena thought it was funny. Its World Cup, who cares. They don't care that much about the World Cup. It just adds to character of Elena. She does funny things. Stop overanalysing everything Khorkina does.

and its funny because Elena does the most difficult elements in the world and yet, she tries that simple skill three times and messes it. Its funny because how hard she tried to keep the routine going.

She's laughing because only she and Zamo are in the final, and Khorkina messed up first, she thought Zamo had an easy shot for gold. But ironically Zamo messed up too. When Zamo finished the routine they had a good laugh together lol.
