Merced New Year 2009

Here is a video shotted by my brother and me with our families and friends at the 2009 Merced Hmong New Year during the last day of the celebration there. wow.. you guys must b the new generation.. i grew up/raised in merced, been thea all my life.. you guys r like umm from some other part of the world, n merced.. i had never seen or recognize n-e of you guys' faces.. lol, gosh i miss the new year.. i haven't been thea for 4 yrs. ugh!! thanks for sharing.. umm love the girls' outfits. hea, the outfit r kinda wack cuz it's not kali. they have no nice clothes unless you buy it from somewhere else but yeah i freaken love merced and i miss it...

Yeah, the camera is a bit heavy to hold up high, so hold it with my hand lower to keep it from shaking too much.

past years, they have been some gang fighting and shooting as well. In 2004, one of my cousin was shoot as a bystander from gang shooting. Luckily, she was not seriously hurt because the bullet didn't hit any vital part. So they check everyone now, except for elderly people, to ensure a safer new year for everyone. How's the New Year in Australia? Also, Happy New Year from a Hmong in USA ^_^
