the spyder is a SLED,,, should have a 12-1400 cc engine, i seen them at the track running 14s,, not bad if youre competing with a full dresser harley,,

The Spyder is capable of 0-60 in 4.4 Secs. Also Top Speed a couple of months back was said by BRP to be 110 mph, (I believe this is for insurance purposes) but this is also very wrong, A buddy of mine got his Spyder up to 140 mph with his girlfriend on the back. So only 110 mph is very wrong. Also the engine is advertised 990 CC, This is also wrong, It has a 998 CC overhead cam Rotex V-twin Engine. This thing has a Hot-Rod Bike engine!

Cornering G's on the spyder are well above 1.2 to 1.4 which will leave any bike in the weeds, yet that takes a rider capable of moving his weight to keep the wheels on the road, yet not sure just any rider can achieve this performance, as told to me by the BRP Engineers, who made the claims, yet this was on a track during testing. Yet straight line acceleration isn't enough to keep pace on long straights. For what it's worth, the Spyder is fun, just not a bike either.

I agree the Spyder could use some more muscle.
I'm not sure I'd have gone with a V-twin myself. A 1000cc 4 cylinder would give a lot more punch.
I thought the Spyder had better times in the 1/4 than that though. That can't even keep up with my car!
My buddy's Spyder is limited to 117 mph. Doesn't choke like the Ninja, it just won't go any faster. The Ninja though, when you hit the limiter, the motor coughs and sputters, REALLY sucks at 185 mph!!!

the spyder cant corner worth a shit compared to a bike. is this a 250 ninja? i'd like to see some stats for the spyder. 0-60 times, skip pad G's curb weight

To start with, it is the ZX-14.
I'm guessing you've never had the Spyder through the canyons?!
It will eat most riders alive and not break a sweat! It takes a skilled rider to compete against that mush rubber on the ground.
I too am looking forward to seeing some performance numbers on the Spyder.
