@StarsAndStraps4E There's no difference. An EMT-B in the field may pick up a few things but they'll be driving most of the time on the stuff that counts. Plus they'll probably pick up a ton of bad habits. Going straight from EMT-B to Medic you know how things are done by the book and you build on that, either way you're going to be an inexperienced new medic and that's just the nature of the job and you have an EMT-B or a more experienced medic to point out the little things.

AHA! I laughed so hard. This is random, but what job do you guys think is better: EMT, Medical Assistant, or Surgical Technician?

Hysterical!

This is the funniest ever! They should show this before they hire at my job! This shit does happen no has happen on a call with trainee a long time ago like my second year! But it was a girl!

@cz809 I agree, im an AEMT, and when I seen this commercial a couple of year's ago, I laughed pretty freakin' hard. It's nice to know that atleast other EMT's/AEMT's/Paramedic's can find some humor in their career's.

@CoreyHM your dumb as hell .

vasovagal syncope.

Hahahaha!! The chubby medic student with the chin-strap facial mistake . ... FAIL!

@TheBillsAreDue A paramedic with only "street smarts" is an arrogant danger. A paramedic with only "book smarts" is an inexperienced provider. I'd rather have an inexperience provider than an arrogant danger.

Please,TRY doing the job that emergency services personnel do for a day. You have no idea what you are talking about.
