SEATTLE — Surveilance video shows a man pull out a gun, ask for money and apologize to a Washington store owner.
Authorities say officers have made an arrest in a weekend convenience store robbery that a south Seattle store owner found remarkable for the robber's politeness.The robber also pointed a gun at White Center Shell station owner John Henry.
Sgt. John Urquhart, of the King County Sheriff's Office, says officers quickly identified a suspect from tips received after surveillance video of Saturday's robbery "went viral."
Henry offered the robber $40, but the man took all the money, about $300, apologizing and saying he had bills to pay and children to feed.
As he left he said if he ever got back on his feet, he'd pay the money back.
The man drove off in a red car. He left fingerprints and video evidence that King County sheriff's detectives are using to look for him.

Of course it isn't right to steal money from a hard-working store owner, with a deadly weapon, much less...but you can't help but have some empathy for where this robber is coming from.

That guy needs to be in jail. If he needed food for His family, all he had to do is go to the local social service office, take about an hour to register and he would have got enough food stamps to feed him and his family for a month. And, help with rent. He let his pride and the fake courage of a gun dictate the rules. There is NOTHING NOBEL ABOUT WHAT HE DID. That owner worked hard for what he has, why let a cowardly crook take it away. That's just FUCKED UP..
