Let's Play Black & White Part 1 - Tutorial

This is the beginning of the game Black & White. I'm taking recommendations for how you want me to play the game - either Good or Evil. Also, if you want my creature to be Good or Evil as well.

Tell me how you want me to play, and I'll move in that general direction.

This video contains pretty much just the opening video and part of the tutorial on how to navigate the world and use the camera.

With of course some commentary from myself.

What are you using to play this cause i can't get it to run on anything.

Black and White 1: You save a kid.

Black and White 2: You save an entire race of people.

Seems like the second starts off a bit better, but then again they had a chance to improve from the first. Honestly, I'm amazed by how well this game was made back then, I've only played the second, but it's not much different (aside from the obvious things like graphics and etc).

@XxPrinceofEvilxX The second one is actually quite A LOT different, besides graphics. Gameplay is much different. Main focus is building villages, not completing stories. creature control is much more direct and less experimental (both good and bad in certain ways) Too much micromanagement in BW2...Overall I think BW1 is the superior game. If it had the polish of BW2 it would be amazing.

@angrygreek1985 I noticed the differences as I started watching the rest of your videos. Seems like the story is just... better. In the second one it's more like you're being told what to do, while in the first it at least feels like you're making up your own mind. On one of the tutorial islands in 2 you have accept a migration AND conquer a town, regardless of what you want. In the first it seems everything is up to you. It seems like a pretty fun game, and has more creatures to choose from.

@XxPrinceofEvilxX yep you're right. I've played and beat 2 as well and while its also a pretty good game I found I just had more fun playing 1.

@CrowbarOfJustice It's really a matter of opinion, but I kinda wish they had made Black and White 2 a bit more like the first. Still, I loved B&W2.

@XxPrinceofEvilxX the first is much better than the 2nd, the second your more like a warlord with magic and colossal pets, the first you really feel like a god that controls life and death and that you are competing against other gods.

Ooh, I remember playing this game for some ten years ago! I loved it, but I couldn't complete the last damn level because I couldn't protect my temple against Nemesis :( I'm looking forward to this let's play! ^^
