do they protect against deactivated criminals?

@chefwyatt99 Because, unlike SOME people around here, he actually appreciates historic arms and is preserving them.

i dont see how the law still classes these as firearms when they clearly do not fire

@TheCannonChannel You make way too many assumptions my friend, all of which are incorrect. I think you over-analyzed my comment. We cannot get working guns in the UK easily, it is very hard to get one and very expensive. I don't believe that these guns should be deactivated, I am completely against it. But they require no license to buy and can be displayed anywhere. You also get to own a piece of history. I would prefer that they worked but then I don't make the laws.

You should see my collection, they ALL WORK. No De-activated ones. By de-activating such nice firearms, you are permanently ruining a piece of history. You should be ashamed of yourself of being acceptant of such practice. Destroying such beautiful firearms should be a crime.

@TaZ101SAGA preserving them by PERMANENTLY destroying them by neutering them? For collectivity, I would obtain the actual thing rather than a POS neutered one. By PERMANENTLY BREAKING them, that takes away value. You are concerned about someone shooting them because it might remove value? When at the same time you are all for deactivating them? Your logic makes ill sense. You are just trying to justify your acceptance with the laws of your country of which you have no rights.
Can I have your Bren?
