The conversation featured a panel of influential leaders in the sports arena discussing current obstacles for girls and women, and how these barriers can be overcome from the point of view of each speaker. While Female athletic participation in Special Olympics is on the rise, attendees discussed some of the best ways to use sports as a tool to promote gender equality and women's empowerment within the Special Olympics movement.
