wO2nder information. Thank you

Check for any Air Leaks near the 02 sensor, it tends to suck in air creating a lean condition.

@lincolnpower58 you broke the wrenches not the sensor!!!!!!! must be some strong sensors
-
@CheckItDontWreckIt82 Try to disconnect the negative post from your battery for about 20 minutes or longer, then hook it back up and see if the code persists.
-
can the o2 sensor cause a knocking in you crankshaft? or is that just the knock sensor?
-
I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, It failed it's Emissions due to a Bad Upstream O2 Sensor. So my question would be: Is Upstream Pre or Post Catalytic Converter?
-
I know it looks easy but did not know of the existence of special socket for the sensor .. thanks for your video really helped me!!!! ..

@CheckItDontWreckIt82 un plug negitive terminal from battery to turn off computer then put back on and see if it comes back on again

Sometimes the blue tipped wrench called a torch oftenly has to be used.I see the blue tabs on GMs for the electrical connections,I cut them off and throw them away.Don't need them.ALso,don't ever buy a Bosch oxygen sensor.Nothing but junk and Bosch's auto parts are nothing but junk

@HeyAinokea I can.. Good ole Dodge Ram. I haven't even had to use Lucas yet.
btw Lucas is great, but unfortunately it's like cocaine for your vehicle, once you use it a couple times, it will want it all the time.

My ck engine light stayed on for a month, picked up a bottle of lucas and dumped whole bottle into tank and filled with gas. Run truck hard on the way home. Next day.,. ck engine light was gone. Did'nt have to change o2 sensor nor have a tune up. Truck 13 years old. I still have original belts, hoses, spark plugs ... etc. bet you can't say that with an americam made truck.

I've spent all day trying to loosen up my 02 sensor, that damn thing is frozen solid. I even saturated it with liquid wrench three times, letting it set in for almost an hour each time. I haven't thought of heating up the engine. I will try that tomorrow before buying a pneumatic 02 sensor wrench.

i have a 2001 gmc sonoma and i cant find where it is. do you have any idea where it could be?

@ClarkW66 my 2006 hyundai santa fe has O2 sensor problem too. its says Bank 1 Sensor 1. Where can i find it? is it after or before the catalyc converter? please help me so i can save money. i will just buy the sensor from hyundai and i replace it my self. thanks.

@karonvick really? any average joe can do it, all you need is a couple wrenches, PB blaster and 5 minutes of spare time. i ripped mine off today playing in the woods while in the jeep. if you can't figure out the error codes, or don't have a diagnostic tester, go to autozone, they will tell you for free, then they will rip you off by selling you a shitty part for a ridiculous price. so i usually order it online and get the OEM replacement, or other brand name, unless it's something big.
-
@lincolnpower58 there is a compount out there called PB Blaster it is a penatrating compound works a lot better than WD40 i have used it to get my stubborn sensor out and it came out like a dream, try the product usually works in 2 hours, spray it on the sensor while the engine is warm so it reacts faster and you shouldnt have a problem.
-
Had Autozone use that tool to check my engine light, they read a code that said it was either my 02 sensor or a fuel injector. Dammit. Now i have to buy an 02 sensor, replace it, and if the light is still there, buy a 60$ fuel enjector, and put in and take out till i find a faulty one. dammit. Months savings down the drain.

Hey buddy I have a 1997 Tahoe. My service engine light is flashing so I took it to autozone. The code on there computer came up as one of my cylinders not firing do u no what this could be?
That would be before the Converter

That's sort of funny, only because we have all been there once before. Good luck tomorrow.

I keep getting error code P0140 even after I have replaced the O2 Sensor twice already. I don't know what else to do to get rid of the error. Any thoughts????

@CheckItDontWreckIt82
sounds like a wiring issue. You might check to see if you have a short somewhere in the wiring.
Good Luck

@lincolnpower58 that doesn't sound good. Did you allow the engine to heat up or did you try to take it off while it was still cold?
