He says his parents are from Taiwan but his grandparents are from CHINA which means he's also CHINESE. No doubt about it. Even in the video he says "I am proud to be Chinese". Only people who have an issue with that are people who have an issue with China.

My parents were born in Guam, but they immigrated to USA but are of Filipino heritage. Are you saying I'm not Filipino just because my parents were "BORN" somewhere else? lol stupid.

  • Wait so Jeremy KILLS Kemba walker and doesn't even get projected to be drafted and Kemba is a potential lottery?

  • @devilmachinegun Do you see South Koreans crying and saying to call them "Soulrean"? Nope. Do you hear Vietnamese overseas who hate the communist government telling people to stop calling them Vietnamese? Nope. It's the communist government that they oppose but they all still consider themselves as Koreans and Vietnamese respectively. Unlike weak minded "Taiwanese" aka "Chinese Taipei/Republic of China".

  • @devilmachinegun That's a dumb point because the majority ethnic group in the U.S. is not of British descent.

The keypoin: The majority of Taiwan are Han Ren. Just because you disagree with a certain government doesn't erase your race or ethnicity. That's like Americans who didn't like Bush calling themselves Canadians. You're not fooling anybody Chinaman!

  • @590221010 it's the horrifying truth that the NBA doesn't really approve of Chinese players. Unless you are extraordinarily good or huge like Yao, you're not going to get in. If you were Black, or even White, it would be a completely different story

  • who the hell cares what ethnicity is jeremy lin. all i care about is that he CAN play and that's all that matters.

  • Choppy frame rate can't watch.

  • @Filipinos4Islanders Are you saying most US people are British?

The key point is not what we call ourselves. The key point is that China is telling the rest of the world Taiwan is a part of them, even though Taiwan clearly has its own government and would like to keep its own government. I don't mind being called Chinese if China would recognize Taiwan's government. The exact reason some of us like to call ourselves Taiwanese is to alert the rest of the world know the situation.

  • Why are you people arguing about this shit? So what if Taiwanese people call themselves Chinese. They do that because people in the US dont know what the fuck is Taiwanese....

  • @ming85c doesn't really matter, jeremy lin said "I am proud to be Chinese", so there you have it.

  • @yuch1102 Taiwan is independent already = =, just because China say "we still part of China", doesn't mean we are still their's.

  • @Filipinos4Islanders Taiwanese people are ethnically chinese. He's Taiwanese and Chinese at the same time.
