I have no idea what brand this was but it uses lines from Shakespeare fer chrissake. Can't go bad with that. And the gas pumps name is Count super-clean-detergenistic-anti-icing-butane-a-platinate Gasoline. How many commercials these days have an omage to The Bard? and say Thee and Thy? Not many

  • This was a late 1960s or early 1970s ad for DX, an old regional gasoline brand in the Midwest based in Tulsa, OK that was bought out by Sun Oil and for many years DX was paired with Sunoco in marketing efforts, keeping its own brand in the original marketing area until the late 1980s when the DX stations were converted to Sunoco.
