Someone needs to come flying in and falcon punch this thief. If I saw this happening, I would steal the thief's bike, just to throw it away.

@chefreforming I was 16 years old, ON DRUGS and I was sick- that is why I stoled bikes.
I paid back the people I stole from that I could reach, on my own , a court never made me do it, I did it because it was the right thing to do. Sometimes people change, resentment hurts only you, hatred never helped society.
Another thing.......... you don`t know which bike shop I work at, so you can hold onto your so-called "principle", you`re only punishing yourself.
-
@bicycleray u still suck though. u deserve to be in prison more than the people in there for drugs. i would never buy a bike from ur shop on principle.

What if the bike stole gets a flat? He's a good theif. way to be on your toes.

who the fuck steals just the wheel? loser
-

-
look in the garbage i find weels all the time the steeling one now there is a shit bike in that bike rack that people are going to strip it and there be some rusty frame left that a nosence for other people to yous the bike rack

This is why you never want a quick release bike wheel if you store your ride outside in the city.

i am a professional bike/airbag thief.
This guy makes us look bad.
So, marginally better locking - all that I'm prepared to do, I'll mainly be stopping only the laziest of thieves. Our police chief says that bank robberies cost $3million annually while bicycle theft costs $30 million.
So where do these bikes go?

I am aware that there are more secure ways of locking my bike. Our building has a locked bicycle room in the basement with stands to which you can lock you bike. I was using the outside stand for convenience. The main reason that I use my bike is to go about 1 mile where I go running in the park. I had bought a cheap a bike to minimize any losses. While I appreciate the suggestions for securing my bike, I probably won't follow them -- beyond using a cable to lock both wheels.

just wanted to mention that im not a thief anymore because sometimes i have guilt at knowing the harm i caused some people, that was over 20 years ago, I`ve been working at a bike shop for many years now and I here stories all the time of bikes getting stolen, and guess what I`m the best adviser for theft prevention to a customer as that used to be my pasttime. Ever watch that movie `Catch Me If You Can`?
The cheap bike was a good idea for commuting

Great to hear that you have come over to the other side - and glad to hear that you are working in a bike shop. I've can't recall the movie "Catch Me if You Can"

I used to live a dark life -I was a bike thief, i stole alot of `complete bikes` not just wheels. locks are always a deterent but put it thru your wheels and your seat. atleast i had more class than this guy and not just leave a bike with only one wheel.
lmao

Stealing a full bike makes you no more classy that the yahoo who stole my wheel. You're a common thief. Doing anything to make restitution?
