This is how I normally play fighting games. If I may ask a serious question, how do I play fighting games without button mashing? I am a hardcore gamer, but fighting games are just one out of all the other genres that I can't grasp. How do I improve?

I feel so bad for those sticks and buttons. This is a horrific video. I seriously couldn't bare to watch the rest of it. Holy cow. Whoa. That is some hardcore button mashing. Although... Sanwa, Seimitsu or Happ could use these guys to test the durability of their parts!
