http://prowrestling.wikia.com/wiki/Over
To "put over" something (a wrestler, promotion, match, etc.) means to make it look good or otherwise encourage the fans to care about it. This can be done in the ring, during a promo, or through many other kinds of media. One of the most common ways a wrestler can be put over is winning a match. For instance, "at the next pay-per-view, Kane is putting Chris Jericho over" means that Jericho will beat Kane. It's also possible to put someone over by taking spectacular bumps or selling a move. After Kevin Nash (as Diesel) defeated Bob Backlund for the WWF title, Nash said that Backlund "couldn't have put me over any stronger" because Backlund crawled back up the entrance ramp to sell Nash's powerbomb. A wrestler or announcer could put something or someone over in an interview or promo simply by complimenting them.

I've heard that Triple H has had beef with Edge all throughout his career and even tried to get Vince to fire him over banging Amy Dumas. Triple H, in my mind, is guilty of destroying more superstars than he's created and most of the time at his disposal. Remember Shelton Benjamin, anyone?

@Monoxide1234455 Armageddon 2007 was basically a repeat of when HHH dropped the IC strap to hardy in 2001 .
The one thing that really bothered me about HHH were the reports that Hunter pitched the idea that Edge drop the title to Cena at the 2006 Rumble so that he could main event against him at Mania. At the time Edge was over as a heel and Hunter didnt do much throughout that year. In a big way that killed off alot of Edge's momentum, thankfully he had that match with Foley .

You don't know what to come back with because you CAN'T come back with anything. He was never booked properly as a main event guy until Wrestlemania 24 came around and Undertaker put him over. Throughout 2006 till that ppv, he was treated like Miz with less severity. Edge didn't get that true main event feel until his match with Undertaker. That isn't twisted logic, it's truth. If anything is twisted, it's you trying to say otherwise.

@Monoxide1234455 I dont even know what to get back with to you anymore your twisted logic has failed you and its been exposed in this comment section. For you to think Edge wasnt seen as credible until he faced Taker at Mania 24 is utterly ridiculous. Your overlooking so many years of accompishments and slow steady build up. The fact WWE sold him as someone who could end the streak shows he had tons of fucking credibility this shouldnt be disputed. But go ahead try and convince yourself.

Like I said, it's hard for me to comment seeing as I didn't see the match. However, I believe No Mercy 2008 HHH did a better job of making Jeff look legit. Much better then what he did at Armageddon 2007.
