  • i just viewing this for homework =/

  • Great to see this- I'm one of the Redcoats in the vid (in fact, one of the guys with the red plumes in their caps). It's not perfect, but given the conditions we do it in (modern town, regulations, gun laws, crowds, liability issues) I'm amazed it comes off so well. It really should be done about an hour earlier at dawn. The Brits should look like muddy, exhausted figures who have been marching all night. This was not a parade ground exercise in 1775, it was an awful event for all concerned.

  • The gunshots are way louder than they sound in this video. Sounds like a nearby lightning strike. The sound hurts my ears 300ft from the gunshot.

  • I know, right? And big crowds standing around wearing all this funky clothing! Isn't history so cool?

  • There's even an authentic 1775 telephone pole in the background!!! Fantastic!

  • they also had people dieing to maintain their rights as men.

  • I didn't know they has paved concrete roads like that in 1775...amazing.

  • I think reenacting is so cool. Good job everybody!

  • these men in red coats have jobs and families and other priorities that prevent them from spending hours and days drilling.

  • Drill was too sloppy, at a time when the British Army was renowned for tight drill. Those guys look good and are probably good fighters, but they need to learn to march in step and drill properly.

  • Good insight.

  • Its all good but the discipline of the redcoats was all over the place, i mean i'm a reenactor too but those regulars were Way to spread out!
