apparently im a muppet for thinking that, because panic at the disco covered a counting crows song, it has something to do with counting crows.

im obviously horribly mistaken.

he doesnt even sing any of the right words to the song though. and it doesnt sound anything like the song. im not sayin he sucks at singing or anything, so dont get your chick pants in a bunch, but this is NOT round here, the song he's sposed to be covering.

a cover implies using the same lyrics and something at least resembling the same melody, am i right?

the song he sung was the same, this is just a short part of the song of which he has changed slightly to add his own style.

it IS a cover of the song as the majority uses the same lyrics and melody, and all good bands change songs that they cover rather than just blatantly copying them.

unless you were at the gig to hear the entire song played then im afraid you have nothing to say.

we were all made perfectly aware that it was a cover, by the many times the band dedicated teh song to Counting Crows, saying how they loved the song when they were growing up.

And besides, not all "Panic-heads" are 13 years old. We have broader music tastes than the bands that Pete Wentz discovers. Im a fan of CC myself.

So dont underestimate and categorize.

Actually he hasn't made those words up himself.

If you've ever seen Counting Crows live then you'll know that Adam Duritz improvises and adds lyrics in when he wants.

That part that you're saying "is not Round Here", in fact IS. It's just a live version.

Look for Counting Crows @ Pinkpop 1997 & listen to that version. Enjoy.

uhm were pretty aware that this is a cover song, im not disrespecting you and your taste in music so dont disrespect us. they have talent and uhm were not panicheads. i hate all the mainstreamers that made them so big. i wish they would go back to a regular night club instead of big arena tours. :[ theyre amazing live. and dont try to change my opinion.
