@Doosterify They got banned twice! In 65 and in 71, the blocks are higher carbon content (makes them stronger), thicker walls, and even today Top Fuel and Funny cars run 500ci Hemi's which are just copies of the 426 Hemi design, even Ford and GM use these. When Hemi's where modified nothing could catch them.

@rockabillyguitarking Scatter a HEMI? That would be difficult to do, the bottom end in those are bullet proof. Cross bolted mains, skirted block, forged everything. Those blocks ruled top fuel late 60s, into the 70s. They kicked major but in just about every class of drag racing and got banned from NASCAR becuase they were to dominant.

I'm kidding... I love the video! It's badass!

Quit short-shifting and it won't chirp... I understand you don't wanna scatter that hemis bottom end all over the asphalt. :)

charger rt 68/69 is epic!!

The motor is a 66 street Hemi done by Arusa. Fun car to drive.

You sure know how to make a guy jealous!
Sweet car, bud.

Maybe newer is better, but any motor of today owes itself to what its predecessor taught.
One thing is for sure, newer will never sound better than old school.

a new 426 hemi would toast this old 426 because of the newer technology in the motor. dont hate because its true. i am a mopar guy and even though i do like the old muscle, i love the new muscle.
