I catched this fantastic self-made video here on youtube but it seems to have been...disappeared. As I said, this is a self-made (not by myself though) video of one of the greatest KJ songs (actually the flipside of the hosanna... single). Enjoy the show!

Here's the lyrics...finally!

Universe B

Lyrics by Killing Joke
© Cooking Vinyl / Let Them Eat Vinyl

Transcript made by the Gatherers [Paul Rangecroft, Geoffrey ODonoghue, Oliver Shepherd, Lennonka].

Visions of a bleak future world
What have we left that we see
Unholy pylons stretch across black deserts
Mankind's reward for his greed

Through all atrocities and wickedness and strife
We'll find the meaning and the goodness in this life

Love is stronger than death
Down to my first breath
Strange aeons
Even death will die

For eternity
For eternity
For eternity

A pre-upheaval migration came
Dreamers that dream the same dream
Unoverpopulated regions where we live
Universe B can be seen

And paper money means nothing here
Far from the worker be speech ???
The colony partied all through the night
While the last battle raged

Through all atrocities and wickedness and strife
We'll find the meaning and the goodness in this life

Love is stronger than death
Down to my first breath
Strange aeons
Even death will die

Thanks to those who made the transcript!

  • You and the gang have done a great job on the lyrics, but im sure its - "and with strange aeons even death may die" from H P Lovecrafts Necronomicon-but the `Down to my first breath` is a great lyric, I dont think its right-A collected KJ lyrics would be great-Id put up the money if they wanted to do 1000 nice limited copies....

  • @Xythantiops

Hi! Thanks for your details. Very interesting. I checked the lyrics several times now but cannot agree to what you said. I actually made a correction at the beginning where I think Jaz sings "What have we left that we see" which makes more sense to me than the one before...anyway, his singing is not always clear to be sure about what he sings. Your source may be true and correct, but it sounds more like "will" to me. Thanks anyway for your comment. Always welcome! Cheers.

  • hi! well i'm not sure but it looks like "2001 - a space odyssee" to me.

  • Wow! This is a mind-blaster! I love the keyboard progression they bring up throughout. Incredible! Gonna see them Saturday! Cheers to the Gathering from the Liberty Conspiracy!

  • @GardnerGoldsmith

hope you enjoyed a mind-blasting concert...not the same stuff, but i saw deep purple last week and they even played my all time fav "hard lovin man" ... good ole rocknroll....

  • @flare435 Interesting you mention that, Deep Purple and Killing Joke fan here. I'll bet seeing them open with HLM after 40 years of never playing it live was rather MAJESTIC! I've been there and back to see Purple but they have let a lot of fans down in the last five years, at least they pulled the gong out and are playing such a great piece of their history. About Killing Joke, saw them last week and they fried my ass! But funny enough it was like seeing Purple without playing SMOKE no EIGHTIES

  • @blackster

hi there! well i'm not a DP fan or follower and i've never been but songs like "hard lovin man" really kicked it and to hear it live was f..cking brilliant. actually a friend of mine is currently on tour with the singer of DP and Foreigner on a kind of "classic meets rock" thing and he told me it was (here around germany, austria and switzerland) as good as sold out. i'll meet him soon to pick up some more details...

as for KJ...i am a fan and follower. seems you're one of us now ;)

  • Holy crap. That song kicked ass.

  • This is the best KJ song of all time, as far as I'm concerned. Why this was left off the Hosannas album is beyond me, but I'm glad this video was made in 2006, or I'd never have heard it. Cheers to the gathering!

  • I'll admit I'm late at catching on to this band but as they say, "better late than never". The more I hear from them the more I regret they canceled their North American tour. I was really looking forward to seeing them in Scottsdale but hopefully they will re-schedule. Killer video, by the way!

  • that is not dead which can eternal lie and yet with strange aeons even death may die"-is qwoted by H.P.Lovecraft-SFHorrorr Maestro-For me is like philosophical kreator of knowledge for oooutside-for Gods without Church,Relligion,Rituals-WRitten-rules;real*storiesfromSubstance of Being and Nothingness-Lies-they are Stories but QwaziReligiousFags abused them-example This is "real" Nekronomikon...this isbeautiFull song and Unspeakble lyrics-thank you for submit it-and to Killing Joke for Made it

  • @scooderfry most of the scene was from the 1968 movie "2001: A Space Odessy" and the rest of it was from the 1997 movie "Contact."
