@DrDoodlesVonDoodles I think a better way of defining Metallica during that bleak era is by calling them Dull Metal. Like a knife that's lost its edge over years of slashing and stabbing and is lacking the attack and lethality it once had. Or we can just pretend it ALL never happened which is what I prefer to do.

how can a band suck only because they have a different bassist? i bet you are on of those so called "metallica fans" that follow the trend of hating all their new stuff..yes, they were great in the 1st three albums..and i didnt care for the 90's albums but death magenetic was an ok album.,..it may not be like the 80's..but its a start and at least they are thrash again..but i do agree with you about cliff being an awesome bass player
