You could have got some money for it on ebay, or else it could have been donated to a charity, what a waste to just dump it, no matter the age.

@woodss82 machine is now fully in service and working fine now,

I have actually recently purchased a Xerox Able 1321 which is a older model to this, and its getting rebuilt, currently 25% in service, all mine needs is new paper feed rollers. 13 years old and still going strong. Xerox machines are quite realible, I puchased this unit to replace my Minolta EP1085, yet this machine is still in service.

ha!
Lanny, these devices are not economically viable to donate, gift, repair etc. They are worthless.

*nods* it was a power supply issue, but it was almost impossible to troubleshoot, and spares are expensive so i couldnt do the old IT swap and go type fix.

We had been tossing up whether to fix the device - the problem with these things is they don't totally die - they just continue on in old age. It was way past retirement.
