Frank, Geno, my wife Amy and I paddled the Youghiogeny from Connellsville to just above Dawson on 12/6/2009. The weather was fantastic, calm wind, sunny skies, and about 29 degrees. There was still a dusting of snow left over from the snow we got on the 5th.
In the video, Frank (stern) and Geno (bow) can be seen enjoying the near perfect river conditions. We did some geocaching also. Fortunately no one went "swimming." Frank did manage to break a paddle just after the video ended running the only rough section on this whole section of river, promptly douching Geno with a big splash over the bow.
The paddle was the first activity undertaken by the Jacobs Creek Paddling Assoc. The Jacobs Creek Outfitters, located in West Overton Village is the site of our meetings, held the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm
Cool clip. What length is your Grumman? Also, the music is nice, who is it?
