@toverkleet Rand's idea of selfishness needs to be understood in context. She sees it as a virtue, hence THE VIRTUE OF SELFISHNESS. If you are gonna comment on me read Rand's work and think about what prompted her whole philosophy. She was obsessed with and afraid of communism and collectivism. WHY? Not because she grew up in the deep south. She lived through the Bolshevik Revolution. She was a somewhat aristocratic, young, intelligent person from a decent family who got screwed by communism.

Simply because Libertarianism favors individual responsibility, the individual (& his or her choices), radical capitalism to an extent, deregulation & wants to cop from Ayn Rand's philosophy (Objectivism), does not mean it is Fascism. Your conclusions are erroneous, you are not a political philosophy teacher while I have degree in the subject.
