Developmental trauma is caused by "subtle" and seemingly "ordinary" or "normal" relational childhood events that most adults do not recognize nor perceive as being traumatic to a child. These "ordinary" relational events during gestation, birth and first three years of life, involve a loss of attunement between children and their parents— particularly with their mothers. These energetic disconnects not only determine how children's vulnerable brains and nervous systems will develop, but the quality of their adult relationships.

  • Hello Adamatova,

Thank you for your question! We created Developmental Process Work as our healing modality and write about it expensively in our book, "Healing Developmental Trauma." You can find it as an ebook on our website Bookstore page. We also write about DPW in "Conflict Resolution: The Partnership Way," which you can purchase in hard copy at our website bookstore.

    Warm regards,

    Barry & Janae
