This is a short tutorial on how to create stock footage and how to render it so that it has an alpha channel. This means you can import it any time with out having to use blending modes.

  • @razrox Thank you! This was very useful. I have one question though. Did you say you filmed it against a green or black screen? Considering I'm colorblind, I can't really just look at the screen and tell the difference too well. I was planning on making stock footage, but I wasn't sure if using my green screen would catch the small particles well enough.

  • @BreatheBoyBreathe Hey, I use a black screen for dust and smoke and a green screen for other types of stock footage like model helicopters and what not. Aslong as you keep the particles lit you wont have any trouble catching the small particles.

  • I think I have whiplash after watching this lol

  • @solidbrownrecords Ha, it was a bit quick. I needed to make them under 4 minutes and it's alot to explain in 4 minutes lol
